Bone meal is an organic slow-release fertilizer made from ground animal bones, rich in phosphorus, calcium, and small amounts of nitrogen. It promotes strong root growth, enhances flower and fruit development, and improves soil health.
The standard application rate for bone meal is 60 to 80 grams per square meter for general garden beds, or about 2.2 to 3.3 pounds (1 to 1.5 kg) per 100 square feet. Mix it well into the soil and water the area thoroughly.
