Bone meal is an organic slow-release fertilizer made from ground animal bones, rich in phosphorus, calcium, and small amounts of nitrogen. It promotes strong root growth, enhances flower and fruit development, and improves soil health.
The standard bone meal application rate for general garden beds is 60–80 g per square meter (or about 2 to 3 lbs per 100 square feet), worked well into the soil.
